visited Stuart Ng at the Con (this place ALWAYS gets me in trouble) and picked up Ranx, it looks to be the entire series of RanXerox collected. This series made me read Heavy Metal again when it came out in the early '80's...

Hello, it's been some time...came back from the Comic-Con and I feel rejuvenated. I finally picked up a set of COPIC markers (a set of WARM and COOL). I'm starting off with these 1st because every artist I spoke with swore by them. The next 5 posts are me trying to get a feel for them...I hope you like. This drawing here was done after I came from Adam Hughes panel demonstrating how he uses the COPIC makers...

testing out these Copic Cool Greys #'s 2 and 5. Working on the backside of the pad again and the paper held up. I even threw the Pitt brushes over the greyscale on a scratch piece and the paper held as well. It seemed as if the Copic's were acting as a canvas. I'm beginning to see why folks like these Copic's. I just might have to break down and invest in a set (or 2). As always, I look forward to doing more...

Hello there, yes I'm still alive. Just testing out these pen brushes, I somewhat figured out what I needed to do to get what I wanted out of them, but this paper felt differently about it. I was trying the back of the paper in this art pad as one of my heroes had suggested, but it's not holding up at all with the layering of color. I'll try not to stay away for so long...
